Neptune & Tridents: Two Swim Teams for Year-Round Competition
OPY Swim Club teams give swimmers ages 3-21 a place to improve their strokes, build endurance, and compete in exciting swim meets! All our coaches for OPY Swim Club teams complete coach safety training.
OPY Swim Club includes two teams: the Neptunes for summer competition and the Tridents for school year competition. Both teams compete at sanctioned meets, giving your child the opportunity to compete against other swimmers both locally and throughout the region.
Qualified swimmers should have completed swim lessons and/or be able to swim 25 yards butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Both the Neptunes and Tridents have a pre-season each year. Swimmers who register for both the pre-season and the regular season will receive a 20% discount on regular season.
Tridents Competitive Swim Team (School Year)
Our OPY Swim Club is where individuals ages 5-21 can work on strokes, build endurance, and can participate in competitive swim meets. Qualified swimmers should have completed swim lessons and be able to swim 25 yards.
All our coaches are certified with and complete a coach safety training. Meets are sanctioned through Heartland Area Swimming and cost an additional fee. Some meets are local and some are regional meets outside of the Nevada, MO area. Only Y members are eligible to compete.
Season Dates: September 5, 2023–March 17, 2024
Registration: Closes March 15, 2025
Fees for the Season: Members $45; non-members $67.50 (Meets cost additional fees)
Swim Group Times
- Bronze I: 5:30pm-6:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Silver: 6:00 pm-7:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Gold: 6:00 pm-7:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Optional strength training: 6:00pm-7:30pm on Wednesdays
Neptunes Competitive Swim Team (Summer)
Meets are sanctioned through Tri-State Area Swimming Conference and cost an additional fee. Some meets are local and some are regional meets outside of the Nevada, MO area. Both members and non-members are eligible to compete.
