Make the Years Golden
There’s more to senior health than physical wellness, and Osage Prairie YMCA’s diverse range of physical and social activities will keep you active, engaged, and connected. Our thriving senior community provides a place for all seniors to find a sense of belonging and friends who will celebrate your victories and support you through challenges. Join us and experience the joy of staying active, making new friends, and being a part of something truly special.
Good Food and Good Friends at YMCA Luncheons
Swap stories, discuss current events, or simply enjoy each other’s company at one of our two monthly seniors’ lunches:
- SilverSneakers® Potluck (11:30am-1:00pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month): Any member with a Silver Sneaker Membership can come to the Y for this potluck lunch!
- Renew Active® Luncheon (11:30am-1:00pm on the 4th Friday of each month): Renew Active members are invited to a monthly luncheon catered by Buzz’s BBQ! (November’s luncheon will be held November 17 due to the Thanksgiving holiday the following week.) For more information on Renew Active, please visit uhcrenewactive.com.
Low Impact, High Enjoyment Workouts and Activities
Exercise is crucial for both the body and mind, but that doesn’t mean it has to be overly strenuous. We offer fun, enjoyable workout options that allow you to socialize while you build heart health, prevent bone loss, and increase your balance and coordination. Best of all, you can work out (or play!) alongside others who share the same interests you do, giving you the chance to build and strengthen friendships at the Y.
Pickleball
All ages and skill levels are welcome on the pickleball court! Join us for a friendly game of pickleball, a sport that combines tennis and ping pong, promoting agility, coordination, and friendly competition.
Cornhole
Join us for one of our monthly cornhole tournaments or get a group of friends together to play in our climate-controlled gymnasium.
Water Aerobics
Dive into the pool and enjoy an invigorating workout that is gentle on joints while building strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. See what times this class is offered on our current Group Exercise Schedule.
