Osage Prairie YMCA to Break Ground on New Childcare Facility
Center at 500 W. Highland in Nevada, MO, on March 14, 2025, at 12pm. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to open in 2026 and will provide high-quality early childhood education programs for children aged 0-5. The initiative aligns with the YMCA’s mission to support families and promote lifelong learning.
“The Early Learning Center represents an exciting opportunity to invest in our community’s future,” said Jeffrey Snyder, CEO at Osage Prairie YMCA. “We recognize the vital role that early education plays in a child’s development, and we are thrilled to offer a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for young learners in our community.”
The new center will feature appropriate-age classrooms, a dedicated outdoor play area, and a curriculum focused on cognitive, social, and emotional development. Financial assistance will also be available to ensure that all families have access to these programs. The Y will accept state subsidies to also ensure all children have access to exceptional childcare.
