SPECIAL UPDATE
The Osage Prairie YMCA has partnered with the Kansas City Chiefs to become an official Kansas City Chiefs Flag Football. This is an exciting announcement which will help us take our program to the next level. Each participant will get an exclusive Kansas City Chiefs reversible jersey, a mouthguard, and their own set of flags. We’re planning on a few other surprises too.
Additionally, the next 100 participants who sign up can participate for FREE, regardless of whether they are a member or not. Call us or register online because spots are filling up fast! We’ve filled all 100 free spots, but have decided to offer an additional 25 spots, but you have to get registered by March 6.

The Osage Prairie YMCA’s NFL Flag Football program is being added to our spring slate of youth sports activities.
Join the action this spring with NFL Flag Football at the Osage Prairie YMCA. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 5-12. All participants will have the opportunity to be evaluated to represent the Osage Prairie YMCA at the NFL Flag Football Regional Tournament in Kansas City on April 20-21 (See below for more information).
Every participant will receive an officially licensed NFL Flag Football jersey and a set of flags.
REGISTRATION – January 29-March 6
SESSION DATES – March 4-April 27
SKILLS NIGHT – March 4 at 5:30 p.m.
FIRST PRACTICE – Practices will begin the week of March 18. The specific date and time of practices will be scheduled by each individual coach.
FIRST GAME DAY – Saturday, March 23
FEES – FREE for the next 25 individuals who register by March 6. $50 for members/$75 for non-members (a late fee of $10/$15 assessed after March 6)
Volunteers Needed!
The success of our programs relies heavily on volunteer involvement. Please consider sharing your time and talent by volunteering as a coach for our NFL Flag Football Program. We will provide a break down of the rules, a play book, and many other resources to help you along. Your skills and interest make a difference at the Y and makes an impact in the development of our local youth.
NFL Flag Football Super Regional Tournament
Kansas City has been designated by the NFL as a Super Regional location for the NFL Flag Football competitions. This year, the regional tournament will be held April 20-21, 2024. The first round of the tournament will be held at Paragon Star. Those teams advancing to the semi-finals and championships will play at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Teams will compete in age division from 8u all the way up to 17u. Every player receives a Regional Tournament custom ring, a free bid to the NFL FLAG Championships and more!
At every regional tournament, teams who win their age division will also win a free bid to the NFL FLAG Championships, where they will compete against the best of the best across the country! Teams will receive custom NFL FLAG Pro Bowl jerseys, NFL FLAG swag, and much more!
